7th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

At this inspection we spoke with three patients, we spoke with the dentist and the dental nurse. Patients we spoke told us they were satisfied with the service they received. Comments included “My treatment is always explained”, “I am very happy with the care I receive”, “the staff are very friendly, polite and helpful” and “I have complete confidence in the dentist.”

We found that staff had attended training in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. We also saw records which confirmed that staff employed by the practice had satisfactory criminal record checks.

We found that people who used the practice were protected from the risk of infection. People we spoke with said that they always found that the practice was cleaned to a good standard. One person who spoke with us said "I always find the practice spotless."

We found that the provider had systems in place to ensure that people’s comments and suggestions were listened to and acted upon. A person who spoke with us said they would feel confident to raise any concerns if they needed to.
