4th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection we spoke with two people receiving treatment and their parents, they told us: “I understood why they were doing the treatment, they were absolutely fantastic”. The parent of one patient told us: “I liked that they were firm about what we needed to do to make sure the treatment worked. They were upfront and that helped my X to comply with the treatment regime.”

The practice was modern and contemporary, with two waiting areas. The manager told us that they had made improvements to the waiting areas, following feedback via patient surveys and the comments box, these included music playing in the waiting areas and a water cooler in the upstairs waiting room.

We spoke with three members of staff and the manager, all were aware of their roles and responsibilities to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.

We observed that all areas of the premises were maintained to a high standard, with all areas clean and tidy. We spoke with two nurses and they were clear about their roles and responsibilities for cleanliness and infection control.

We spoke to the receptionist who was leading on the annual patient satisfaction survey, and saw the results on 2012 survey in which all areas were rated as excellent or very good.
