4th December 2013 - During a routine inspection
Townes and Townes dental surgery had two dentists, one part time hygienist, two dental nurses and reception staff. The registered manager was available throughout the inspection. People that we spoke with said that they had no concerns about the cleanliness of the waiting rooms or the dentist’s surgery. We observed all areas of the surgery were clean and tidy throughout. We spoke with five people when we visited. They each told us that they had been visiting the practice for many years and had a close bond with the staff and enjoyed their visits. Staff we spoke with had worked at the dental surgery for many years and told us they felt ‘very much’ supported by the registered manager. People who used the service understood the care and treatment choices available to them. People we spoke with told us “I feel I am involved in my treatment and listen to advice, I am given the options of treatment available”.
