We asked five people about their visit to the dentist and they all spoke positively about it. They told us they felt they had been treated in a respectful manner and their privacy and confidentiality had been respected. One person described the whole experience as “Excellent.” Another person told us, “They are lovely, really friendly. The dentist put me at ease, she knows what I’m like.” A younger person told us, “She (the dentist) was very nice and I got a sticker for being brave.” People told us they were satisfied with the treatment they received at the dental practice. One person told us, “Since I moved here the dentist has really looked after me and sorted my teeth out.” They went on to say they had been able to have an emergency appointment on the same day when they had toothache. A parent told us, “She (the dentist) was brilliant with them (her children). She explained what she was doing and showed them by letting them hold the equipment.” People told us they felt perfectly safe when coming to the dentist. One person said, “I was dental phobic as a child, but I’ve never been frightened since coming here.” They also told us they liked being able to have a female dentist. People we spoke with told us that they found the surgery to be clean and felt that safe practices were followed to prevent the risk of infection or contamination. This included the use of protective clothing.
