20th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People using the service said that they were very satisfied with it and way it was provided. "I liked that when I first came my dentist was very straight up and honest". "To find such a friendly environment and dentist is amazing, I can't fault them in any way". They had the consultation procedure, NHS and private fees and treatments explained to them, that included any risks the treatments may involve. They told us they were treated with dignity and respect by staff and felt safe using the service. They did not tell us about the surgery infection control systems. They did tell us they thought the practice was kept clean, tidy and well staffed. They also knew about the complaints procedure.

We saw that people using the service were provided with lots of information to decide if they wished to proceed with treatment. Records were safely kept, regularly reviewed and updated on a computerised system. There were sufficient qualified, capable and competent staff to meet the needs of people using the service and there was a complaints system that people were aware of

and new how to use. The surgery was very clean, well maintained and procedures to prevent cross contamination and infection were followed.
