12th June 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our announced inspection on 12 June 2013 we spoke to the registered manager, three members of staff and two people who were using the service. People were complimentary about the service they received. One person told us; “Its great, very friendly staff, very quick and they explain everything thoroughly.”

The registered manager gave a detailed explanation about how the service ensured that people understood and consented to the scans they were to have. We were told that the machine that produced the images was noisy and that people could listen to music whilst the scan was taking place.

We examined training records and training certificates and saw that all staff had received training in how to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.

We looked at the satisfaction results for the month of May 2013 and saw that 100% of people were either satisfied or very satisfied with the service.

We saw that the provider had a comprehensive and effective complaints policy. Complainants could expect an acknowledgement letter within two working days and a resolution to the complaint within ten days.
