3rd December 2013 - During a routine inspection

Patients we spoke with confirmed that the dentist explained the different treatment options in a way they could understand and said that they were made aware of any risks and benefits involved.

Patients needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan. All patients we spoke with confirmed this.

We saw that the practice had effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Staff were able to demonstrate that they were aware of the safe practices required to meet the required standards.

The registered manager was able to demonstrate that regular compliance audits were conducted. We saw that the audit covered a wide range of subjects, for example, cross infection, patient records, training and x-rays.
