27th June 2018 - During a routine inspection
![]() We carried out this announced inspection on 27 June 2018 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We planned the inspection to check whether the registered provider was meeting the legal requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated regulations. The inspection was led by a CQC inspector who was supported by a specialist dental adviser.
To get to the heart of patients’ experiences of care and treatment, we always ask the following five questions:
• Is it safe?
• Is it effective?
• Is it caring?
• Is it responsive to people’s needs?
• Is it well-led?
These questions form the framework for the areas we look at during the inspection.

10th May 2012 - During a routine inspection
![]() We spoke to a number of people about the service. They included the dentist, practice manager, dental nurse and patients who used the service. This is in order to gain a balanced overview of what people experience using this dental practice. We spoke with people who used the surgery about how they were treated and what support they received. They told us staff discussed their treatment options and they were given time to make informed choices. Comments included, "I am told what treatment I need and how much it will cost." Also, "They go through all the options with you." People we spoke with felt confident about the abilities of the staff and how they were treated with respect and politeness. A patient we spoke with said, "They are all very polite." Also, “Staff always have time to talk to you and make you feel comfortable." People we spoke with did not have any issues about the standard of care they were receiving and people told us that they would be comfortable in raising any concerns they may have.
