25th February 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with two people within the waiting room who were attending appointments at the practice. One person told us: “I was referred here by my own dentist, because they offer sedation when they remove teeth.”

Another person said: “I have been coming here for a long time and the staff are very professional and the dentist explains everything to me.”

The practice had systems in place to monitor and minimise cross infection, safeguarding people and investigating complaints. There was the opportunity for people to air their views anonymously through the patient satisfaction survey and a suggestion box within the waiting room; we saw that the information gathered was used to improve quality of care.

People were complimentary about the service and treatment they received. People we spoke with were regular patients of the dentist, or had been referred to the surgery for specialist dental treatment by their regular dentist.
