4th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four people who used the clinic. We also spoke with two staff and the registered manager.

We looked at care records for four of the people who used the clinic. We saw that people’s medical history had been reviewed regularly to ensure that staff had up to date information. There were also detailed assessments about the person's health and treatment plans. All the staff we spoke with had knowledge of the needs of the people who used the clinic. One person who used the clinic told us: “The care and treatment you receive is excellent”.

We found that people were always given sufficient information to enable them to make informed choices about treatments.

People received treatment in areas that were clean and hygienic.

We found that there were regular audits and quality checks. We also saw that the provider sought feedback from the people who used the clinic. This ensured that the provider was able to monitor the quality of its service delivery.

People told us that they were happy with the care and treatment they had received. They told us that they were confident that staff had a good knowledge of the treatments they provided and that staff supported them well during their appointments. A person that had recently used the service told us “Every time I come for treatment, staff ask me how I think the treatment is working. They listen to what I’m saying.”
