8th November 2012 - During a routine inspection
We spoke with six patients and asked them about their experience of the service they received at Shirley Dental Care. All six told us that they were pleased with the service. They told us they had been fully informed about the treatment they were to receive and were treated with dignity and respect throughout. They told us they were asked to give consent to the treatment before it started and were asked at the end of their treatment whether they were satisfied with the results. Patients told us: "They made me feel really comfortable". "I have recommended the practice to other family members". "The dentist always carefully explained everything". Patients told us they found the practice and treatment rooms to be clean and confirmed that the dentists and dental nurses wore protective clothing when providing treatment. Their comments on hygiene included: "The surgery is always very clean and tidy". "I've never had any concerns about cleanliness".
