20th August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People we spoke with told us they were satisfied with the care and treatment they received. One person told us, “They are great here. They (relative) needed an emergency appointment and were seen in less than 24 hours. The staff are helpful and efficient.” Another told us, “I feel comfortable coming here.”

We saw that people were given detailed information with options explained when planning for their treatment. Before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. During treatment we saw that people were treated in a respectful and dignified manner.

Staff were knowledgeable and understood their roles and responsibilities with regards to safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children procedures including the referral process in place if they needed to raise concerns to protect people at risk of abuse. All professional staff were registered with their regulatory body for dental professionals.

The provider had robust systems in place to evidence regular monitoring of the safety and quality of service provision. Infection control procedures were followed to maintain the safety of people who used the service.
