27th November 2012 - During a routine inspection
We spoke with nine people who were registered as patients with Platt Bridge Dental Practice. People told us that they were happy with the service provided. They felt their dignity was maintained and their privacy protected. For example people told us that staff were reliable, open and honest about treatments. They said they were encouraged to ask questions and felt staff had the time to answer their questions. People told us they were given lots of information about their treatment and knew what to expect. They explained that they felt the level of service was “excellent “, “no problems whatsoever, I have visited other dentists in the past and did not feel comfortable, it is great here my daughter and grand children actually like coming to the dentist.” People reported that staff were good at discussing all their treatment options and they felt they were provided with realistic expectations of the procedures they were having. They stated they were always consulted and they gave full consent about their treatment and check ups and were aware of their costs. They told us there was always a dental nurse assisting the dentist and they could ask as many questions as they wanted about their care. The people we spoke with told us that the care they experienced was “very good” and that they had no problems. They told us they were happy with the level of service and care offered and that they were offered advice and good tips regarding health promotion. Other comments included “Appointments are always on time”, “Best group of dentists we have ever been to”, “Very reliable service, we know the treatment options and the various costs.” “I cannot praise them enough, I have no complaints whatsoever.” “We are asked what we think of the services. We feel this is the best practice we have ever been to. I needed lots of treatment but the staff reassured me and the dentists carried out the treatment very well. Wonderful service”. “We are very satisfied with this practice, staff and dentists are very good at what they do.” I cannot praise this practice enough, kind caring wonderful people.” People told us that the premises were homely, clean and well maintained to include the toilet areas.
