6th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who use the service spoke positively about the attitude, care and treatment provided by the practice team. People told us the treatments they had were clearly explained to them. One person told us 'It's a good practice'. Two people told us that they had been using the practice for over 10 years.

People received their consultations in private rooms. We saw that staff closed the door to ensure that people's privacy was respected.

People who used the service were kept safe because staff understood what constituted abuse and knew what they must do if they witness or suspect it. There were policies and procedures for safeguarding people who use the service.

The practice was observed to be very clean and hygienically maintained. The dentist showed us the practice’s procedure for washing, decontamination and bagging of the instruments used for treatment.

We saw the satisfaction surveys that had been completed by people using the service and they were happy with the treatment that they had received. The provider had a system to assess the feedback provided in the satisfaction questionnaires and to take action where required to address areas where the need for improvement had been identified.
