24th January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The people we spoke with said that they had been visiting the practice for a number of years and were happy with the care and treatment they received. One person said, "I was very nervous and anxious about the treatment but the dentist was reassuring and helped me overcome my anxiety. I have been coming to the practice ever since." Another person said, "The care and treatment is excellent. The staff are always attentive, and explain what they are doing. The overall experience is very good."

We found that the service was meeting the standards we inspected. People's privacy and dignity were respected, and they had been involved in decisions about their care and treatment. Each person's dental health had been assessed during their check-up, and they had been presented with the options for treatment, so that they had been able to make an informed decision. There was a system in place for the prevention and control of infection. The staff were provided with relevant training, and supported for the work they did. There was a system in place for assessing and monitoring the quality of service.
