11th November 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During this inspection we visited Alemdent Limited Dental Practice and spoke with the practice manager; two dentists; two dental nurses; a receptionist and eight patients.

Patients told us they were given information about their treatment options and costs and confirmed they understood what to expect before consenting to treatment. Comments received from patients included: “My dentist has always treated me respectfully”; “I have always understood any costs and treatment options have been thoroughly explained to me”; “My consent has always been obtained before treatment has commenced” and “The dentist I see is fantastic and all the staff who work here are friendly and professional.”

Patients spoken with during our visit were complimentary of the standard of care and treatment they had received and confirmed their privacy and dignity was respected. Comments received included: “I have been a patient of Dr Saunders for many years and I’ve always been impressed with the standard of care and treatment provided”; “I’m more than happy with the service I’ve received. I’d rate the practice as ten out of ten”; “I have been coming to this practice for twenty years and drive a fair distance to come here as the level of care I receive is excellent” and “Everything is spotlessly clean. I have confidence in my dentist and I’ve never had any need to complain about any aspect of the treatment I’ve received".
