23rd January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The people who used the service told us that they were very happy with the care and treatment given to them. They said that the dentist was excellent and that “they chose this practice because they were nervous and the care and attention given to them allowed them to have the treatment done”. Others said that this was the best and “had been coming since the practice opened nearly 20 years ago”.

We found that people's privacy and dignity had been respected and they had been involved in the decisions about their treatment. People had been provided with information about the service, opening times and the costs. People had a treatment plan that had been discussed with them. There were systems in place to minimise the risk and control the spread of infection. Staff had been provided with relevant training for the work they did and included Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training that had been updated annually.. There were systems in place for assessing and monitoring the quality of service.
