25th July 2013 - During a routine inspection
Leighton House Dental Practice is on the second floor of a building.. There is lift access to all floors. When we inspected this service on 25 July, we found the practice clean and well equipped. There were three surgeries, a reception area, a locked staff room and a decontamination room. We observed that the staff were welcoming to people attending the surgery. People said that they were happy with the service provided, that it was ’good overall’ and that they ‘felt safe’ while being seen by the Dentist. They also told us that they were kept informed throughout the course of their treatment. One person said, ”I am very satisfied and they keep me informed of how I am doing during the course of treatment”. The practice carries out a wide range of NHS and private treatments to a large patient base including some cosmetic dental procedures. On the day of our inspection there were two full time dentists, a part time Hygienist and six nurses working at the practice.
