10th May 2013 - During a routine inspection
The provider and staff work in partnership with the children and their families. The parents and where possible the children are involved at all times. The care files were complete and up to date. Each child had comprehensive care plans and risk assessments in place that were child centred. We observed communication between parents and staff to be excellent. Parents always kept staff informed when their children had received medicines and vice versa. All children received one to one care from experienced qualified nurses and play leaders. The manager confirmed that they had not received a complaint in over two years. They also explained that if there were any concerns they would encourage parents to come and speak to them directly so they could resolve it quickly. We spoke to five parents during our visits. Their comments included “It’s so amazing here, I cannot fault it”. “The staff always keep me informed of what our child has done throughout the day. Our child just loves the nurses”. “The staff look after us all as a family not just our child, they are always there when we need them it’s been a god send”. “I trust them with my child and that says it all, they are brilliant”. “They have done so much for us, so supportive and they include all the family including our other children”.
28th June 2012 - During a routine inspection
We spoke to two parents during our visited, and also saw feedback from other parents via the parental survey recently undertaken. Without exception, all the comments were positive. One parent said that "The staff responded to our child's changing needs well by reviewing their respite allocation. The facilities are brilliant and the support for parents is wonderful". Another parent told us that "what the staff do well is the care and love they give to my child and helping her to develop".
