29th January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People using the service said that they were satisfied with it and way it was provided. "I feel like a person as well as a patient'". "The white marble floor and white walls gave a good clinical feel". They had the consultation procedure, fees and treatments explained to them, that included any risks attached to treatments. They told us they were treated with dignity and respect by staff and felt safe using the service.

They did not comment on infection control but did tell us they thought the practice was kept clean, tidy and they were seen in private.

We saw there was sufficient information given so that people could decide what treatment they wanted and if they wanted it to go ahead. This included cost. There was a system in place to minimise the risk of infection and cross contamination of instruments. Staff were knowledgeable, qualified and competent to deliver the service people needed. People using the service also had access to a complaints procedure that was included in the information provided. Records were also well maintained, up to date and accessible.
