4th July 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People we spoke with told us that their privacy and dignity was respected by all staff.

We spoke with two patients both who had been registered with the practice for over 10 years. They were both happy with the service they had received. We were told that they were always able to get an appointment within a reasonable timescale.

Staff had been trained in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and knew how and where to report any allegations of abuse.

We found that the provider had taken the appropriate steps to ensure that people were protected from the risk of infection.

We found that there was a recruitment process in place which ensured that staff were qualified to carry out their role. However some staff did not have current CRB checks and the practice had not kept records of interviews and had not obtained references.

The practice had a complaints policy and procedure.
