11th February 2013 - During a routine inspection
Heath Lodge Clinic is a private clinic offering MRI, CT, Ultrasound scans and x-rays to people with mainly orthopaedic problems. They specialise in scanning people with bariatric or claustrophobic issues. The clinic offers appointments for scans within 24 hours of receiving a referral and each appointment is scheduled for an hour. The clinic is staffed by a team of professional friendly staff led by a consultant radiologist and are supported by an administration team led by the manager of the clinic. People are informed and reassured throughout the procedure. Safety procedures are adhered to and staff aim to make the scanning procedure as pleasant as possible. People who had used the service were highly complimentary about the clinic and the service it provided. Comments included: “I was very pleased and satisfied with the procedure” “Would thoroughly recommend the clinic” “Every step was explained and agreed with me” “The whole atmosphere is relaxed”.
