11th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection, we were able to speak with three people who used the service. Two people told us that they and their families had been attending the practice for over 35 years and the third person together with their children for over four years.

They all told us that they were very satisfied with the quality of services provided and their treatments including costs were fully explained in order for them to make informed choices. Staff were always courteous and friendly, they felt at ease, confident and safe with the care and treatment provided. One person said, “Eleven out of ten, a brilliant service”. Another person said, “It’s the nicest dental practice I have ever attended”.

A practice information leaflet was available to people who used the service, which included how to contact the practice, staffing, arranging appointments, complaints and emergency out of hour’s contacts. A range of treatment information leaflets for example, dental costs, oral health and post treatment care were also available. The service offered a range of appointment times including late evenings and occasional planned weekend appointments throughout the year.
