26th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three people who used the service. All three people were very positive about their experience at the service. One person said; “It was a very good experience. They talked me through what they would be doing and gave me realistic expectations. The staff were very professional, very informative, very friendly and they cared for me very well”. A second person we spoke with said; “It was really good. The staff were really nice and friendly and they explained what was going on”. A third person said; “I thought they were good. I was given a lot of information and the staff were good”.

We found people’s consent had been sought prior to any care or treatment being carried out. The service had ensured people were cared for in a way that ensured their safety and welfare. There was an appropriate cleaning and infection control policy in place which had been followed and equipment had been regularly serviced and checked in order to ensure it’s safety and suitability. We also found the service had an appropriate recruitment and selection policy in place which had been followed when recruiting staff.
