20th February 2013 - During a routine inspection

The dentist we spoke with told us treatment options were explained to the patient before any treatment commenced. People were given printed information to supplement the verbal explanations if they requested.

People told us that treatment options were clearly explained to them and they were asked for their consent before any treatment commenced.

There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. We reviewed the infection prevention and decontamination policies and found them to be up to date and comprehensive with responsibilities clearly defined.

The provider had an effective quality assurance system to monitor the quality of service provided.
