Background
Emia Dental is located in Gravesend, Kent and provides private dental services to the local community. The demographics of the practice were mixed, serving patients from a range of social and ethnic backgrounds.
The practice is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 8pm and Saturdays 9am to 6pm. The practice facilities include two consultation rooms, one of which was not in use, reception and waiting area, decontamination room and staff room.
We received feedback from 12 patients. Patient feedback was positive about the service. Patients told us that staff were professional and caring and treated them with respect. They described the service as very good and provided an excellent standard of care. Information was given to patients appropriately and that staff were helpful.
The practice manager, who is also the owner is the registered manager. A registered manager is a person who is registered with the Care Quality Commission to manage the service. Like registered providers, they are ‘registered persons’. Registered persons have legal responsibility for meeting the requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations about how the practice is run.
