People we spoke with told us that they were very happy with the level of care and treatment that they received at Eastgate Dental Practice. They told us that they were treated with respect and that they were involved in making decisions about the treatments they received.

We saw that staff were trained to provide a safe and appropriate standard of care and treatment. Each person had a detailed treatment plan and there was evidence that options, risks and benefits were discussed with patients so that they could make informed decisions about their treatment.

There were appropriate arrangements in place for cleaning and sterilising re-usable dental instruments and ensuring that the practice was clean so as to minimise the risks of the spread of infection.

Staff were aware of their responsibilities to keep people safe and to report any incidents or concerns so as to safeguard people from the risk of harm.

People's views and comments were taken into account in the way the service was managed and monitored so as to ensure that they received safe and good quality care and treatment.
