5th December 2013 - During a routine inspection

We visited the office of Eastbourne (Dentalign), and although people were aware of our presence they chose not to speak to us about their treatment. However, we looked at the feedback forms for November and found very positive comments about the service provided. Comments included, ‘Flexible, accommodating and excellent overall’. ‘Very happy with the service,’ and ‘No improvements needed, 100% perfection.’

We looked at treatment plans. They showed that people had consented to treatment, and were involved in decisions about the on-going support provided.

Safeguarding procedures and policies were in place.

We found that the systems used for the control of infection were appropriate.

The practice was welcoming and informative, and staff had attended training relevant to their role.

A programme for assessing and monitoring the service was in place.
