27th September 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three people who were patients of Oasis Dental Practice to gain information about their perceptions of the staff and services provided. People told us they were provided with appropriate information and support regarding their care or treatment. People said they discussed and signed treatment plans prior to having any treatment and were given clear details of any costs involved. They told us that the fees had changed because the practice now only undertook private patients. However they said that fees were always discussed prior to any treatment being agreed.

People said they were respected and made to feel calm and reassured when they attended the surgery. One person told us that staff were friendly and professional.

Staff told us they received ongoing training and support and worked well as a team.

The practice manager displayed a thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures in place and completed audit checks to ensure records and equipment were well maintained.

People told us that they had not needed to make a complaint about the practice but knew the route to take if they needed to raise any issues or areas of concern.
