10th January 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People’s privacy, dignity and independence were respected. People’s views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. One person told us "the dentist and his team are friendly, helpful and professional."

People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. One patient said, "I have been a nervous patient in the past but this dentist always puts me at ease." Another patient with mobility issues told us that they found access to the building and surgery to be good.

People were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. People were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed.

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff.

The provider had an effective system in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety and welfare of people who used the service and others. The provider also had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
