26th February 2014 - During an inspection to make sure that the improvements required had been made
At a previous inspection we found concerns related to the level of support that staff received. We carried out this inspection to check whether action had been taken to address these concerns. We found that improvements had been made to ensure that staff were appropriately supported to deliver care to people effectively and safely. Patients told us they had confidence in the staff who delivered their care. They said that staff treated them with respect and were suitably trained to carry out their roles. One patient said, "The staff are fine here. They know what they are doing." We found that the provider had introduced new systems to ensure that staff were appropriately supported in their roles.
2nd April 2013 - During a routine inspection
People told us they were happy with the dental care and treatment they received. One person said, "I wouldn't go anywhere else to be honest. I have never had a problem or pain here. I have recommended other people to come here." Another person said, "There is nothing I am not happy with. I am very happy." We found that people were involved in their care and were given information and choices about treatment options. People's dental care and treatment needs were assessed and their treatment was planned. We saw that people were cared for in a clean and hygienic environment and infection control was appropriately managed. The provider had effective systems in place to monitor the quality of the service they provided. However, although people said they were happy with the care and treatment that they received, we found that staff were not appropriately supported as there was no formal support stucture in place.
