12th September 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Patients and staff said treatment options were always discussed during consultations. Patient records included treatment proposed by the dentist. Patients were satisfied with the treatment they received. One patient said "They explained my treatment very well and made it clear."

Dentists recorded assessments of patients’ oral and dental health. Patient records were updated when patients attended the practice for check-ups or treatment. The practice and its staff were prepared for medical emergencies.

The service was clean and had systems to protect patients and staff against the risk of healthcare associated infections. Essential guidance in decontamination of dental instruments was followed.

Staff received professional development and were supported by the service to maintain required standards of training.
