16th October 2012 - During a routine inspection
We spoke with five patients on the day of our visit. People told us that they were able to make appointments when required and that they received a telephone reminder on the day before. People confirmed that their medical histories were taken and that the dentists explained treatment options to them. We saw examples of treatment plans that had been given to patients. People were able to provide feedback on the service provided in the form of surveys and comment books. Information was available in the waiting area about how to make a complaint. We looked at the procedures for the decontamination of dental instruments and found that these were meeting the requirements of the Health Technical Memorandum 01-05 (HTM 01-05).
