People using the service told us; “I can’t speak highly enough of it. It’s brilliant.” People told us they were given good information about the services provided and one person said, “I would recommend it.” People said that they found other service users’ comments on the services website had helped them to decide to come to the clinic. One person said, “I found out about the service on the internet.” Other people told us they found out about the service by ‘word of mouth.’ People told us that staff sought their consent throughout the treatment. “Yes they discussed consent with us. We both had to sign.” “We have been consulted and involved all the way along – I can’t fault the staff.” “My appointment is running a bit late, but staff have spoken to us.” “They took a full medical history and they told me all the risks.” We sampled twenty patient feedback questionnaires that people were asked to complete following their treatment. Comments included the following; “Embryo transfer very good – better to have discussion in consultation room rather than changing room.” “Out of hours contact good.” “Information form embryology team good.” “Discharge information good.” “A relaxed and friendly atmosphere, made us feel at ease.” “What wonderful professional people.” “Phone calls weren’t always followed up.” Other people were complimentary about counselling services provided as part of the assessment and treatment provided. One person said, “You have to see a counsellor but that’s not a problem if it helps us.” And “Staff are good, always willing to help.” “Over the phone advice was good too.”
