We spoke with four patients during our visit to the practice. Everyone we spoke with said that they were treated with respect. They said they had signed to say they agreed with the treatment and that they had their treatment options explained to them. This meant that they could make an informed decision about their dental care and treatment. One person said “(Name of dentist) is very good at explaining everything to me.” Another said “My dentist explained my treatment in detail before I signed my treatment plan.”

People told us they did not have to wait too long for appointments and that they were always welcomed in a friendly manner. One person said “It is brilliant here. I have never had problems in getting an appointment.” Another said “It is fairly easy to get an appointment here.”

People commented to us that they thought the surgery and practice building were clean. One person said “The surgery is always kept clean.”

We were told by the people we spoke with that they felt safe and confident when in the surgery. One person said “(Name of dentist) is excellent. She always knows who you are, and she talks to you as if she has just seen you last week instead of six months ago.”

People told us that they have not had any need to complain, but if they needed to they would speak either to the dentist or one of the dental nurses.
