25th October 2016 - During a routine inspection
We carried out an announced comprehensive inspection on 25 October 2016 to ask the practice the following key questions; Are services safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led?

Background
Bridge Street Dental is situated in the centre of Driffield, Humberside. The practice provides private dental treatments including preventative advice, endodontics, cosmetic dental treatment, orthodontics and general dentistry.
The practice has two surgeries over the first floor, a decontamination room, a waiting area/reception and patient toilets. There are staff facilities and a general office on the second floor of the premises.
There are two dentists, a dental hygiene therapist, three dental nurses/receptionists (two of which are trainees) and a clinical director.
The practice is open:
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 09:00 – 18:00.
Thursday 10:00 – 19:00
Friday 08:00 – 17:00.
The clinical director is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as an individual registered person. Registered persons have legal responsibility for meeting the requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations about how the practice is run.
On the day of inspection we received nine CQC comment cards providing feedback and we spoke with three patients. The patients who provided feedback were very positive about the care and attention to treatment they received at the practice. They told us they were involved in all aspects of their care and found the staff to be very helpful and explained everything. The practice had a happy environment; staff were professional and courteous. Patients commented they could access emergency care easily and they were treated with dignity and respect in a clean and tidy environment.
