Letter from the Chief Inspector of General Practice
We carried out an announced comprehensive inspection at this practice on 12 November 2015.
A breach of legal requirements was found. The practice was required to make improvements in the domain of ‘Safe’.
After the comprehensive inspection the practice wrote to us to say what they would do to meet the following legal requirements set out in the Health and Social Care Act (HSCA) 2008:

We undertook this focused follow-up review to check that they had followed their plan and to confirm that they now met legal requirements. We reviewed the information available to us about Blundellsands Surgery on 30 May 2019. We did not find evidence of significant changes to the quality of service being provided since the last inspection. As a result, we decided not to inspect the surgery at this time. We will continue to monitor this information about this service throughout the year and may inspect the surgery when we see evidence of potential changes.
