2nd May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During this inspection we found that before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. People were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed. People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard and there was an effective complaints system available.

We were unable to speak with people receiving treatment at the time of our inspection so we looked at patient feedback the service had received. This survey was conducted every six months. One person had commented "I have always had good and careful attention."

We also found people experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. We looked at patient feedback to the practice which was collected on an ad-hoc basis in reception. Comments we saw included "I have always had good and careful attention", although I don't like coming to the dentist I am always put at ease and the dentist is always very gentle", "I have been impressed with the skills and patience of my dentist."
