The purpose of this review was to check that improvements had been made to achieve compliance with outcome12. During our visit 19 June 2012 we found that people were cared for by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. However,not all appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work.

On this occasion we did not involve people who used the service. To ensure that appropriate checks on staff had now been undertaken we asked the provider to send us written evidence to confirm that satisfactory criminal record bureau checks had been completed for all staff he employed.

The provider informed us on 23 August 2012 that following our visit in June 2012 he had now received satisfactory Criminal Bureau checks(CRB) for all of all of the staff he employed. He also told us that he had arrangements in place to ensure all staff who worked at the surgery that were self employed had satisfactory CRB checks in place . We received written information to confirm this information .
