14th March 2013 - During a routine inspection

People were given sufficient information in order to decide whether to join the register, and provide a donation of stem cells or cord blood. Their medical needs were monitored to ensure that they were not placed at risk by donating.

The Trust was audited regularly to ensure that rigorous infection control procedures were in place.

Appropriate staff recruitment procedures were in place, and staff received effective training, support and supervision from management to ensure that they worked in line with best practice.

Rigorous quality assurance procedures were followed to assess and monitor the quality of service provision.
