9th August 2012 - During a routine inspection
Four people whom we spoke with expressed a high level of satisfaction with the services provided by the dentist and staff. One person said “I have been coming here for over twenty years. They are all very good.” A second person said “the staff are professional and helpful”. People told us the staff respected their privacy and dignity. Consultations were carried out in private. People said they were allowed to ask questions about their treatment. People said that ‘the dentist discussed a range of treatment options with them. However, they made the choice of treatment they wanted.’ They said ‘care and attention was exercised when carrying out the treatment.’ People told us diagnostic test results such as x-rays were explained to them. They said the dentist often showed them images on the computer to explain how the treatment would be performed. The four people whom we spoke with said they had confidence in the staff at the practice. People said “the practice was very clean and tidy.” One person said “staff ensure the treatment room is clean before the next person is seen.” People spoken with said they were aware of how to make a complaint. However, they have never had to make one.
