9th January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Patients were informed why they required treatment and the treatment options were explained to them. Treatment plans were developed outlining what treatment was required and how much it cost. Consent was obtained from the patient, or the relevant person if they didn’t have capacity, before treatment began.

The service was kept clean. Staff followed recommended good practice guidance for the decontamination of dental instruments and the control of cross infection.

Staff were supported and there were regular practice meetings to discuss any changes or updates to service delivery. Staff were provided with the training they required to have the skills and knowledge to treat patients.

There was a complaints process in place. At the time of our inspection no complaints had been received since the service opened in 2012.
